Here's a look at all the new Destiny 2: Forsaken supers

Added: 04.07.2018 6:43 | 1219 views | 0 comments

Ahead of the launch of the upcoming expansion, Destiny 2: Forsaken, Bungie has revealed all of the new super abilities heading to their game. There’s one new super for every subclass of Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters, meaning everyone has a brand new ability to use against the enemies that feature in the update.
Speaking of enemies, the update adds a new faction in the form of the Scorn. There’s also new exotic weapons, a new map for upcoming mode Gambit, and plenty more hidden away in the expansion, which is set to launch later this year.

Check out our list of the on PC.
Courtesy of (via ) we now know what exactly each of those nine new supers will do. They’re a pretty mad bunch, with fire tornadoes and void explosions and electricity bolts and all sorts. That’s not too surprising though - not only do you need something to help turn the tide in your fight against new enemies the Scorn, but Bungie need something to encourage some of Destiny’s lapsed players back to the game.
Anyway, on to those supers. Titan Strikers have Banner Shield, which absorbs enemy attacks. Sunbreakers get a siege hammer, creating a flaming maul that leaves flame tornadoes where it lands. Strikers get Thundercrash, allowing them to leap enormous distances and hit a targeted area like a missile strike.

Destiny 2 classes - your full guide to all the subclasses and abilities

Added: 04.07.2018 4:36 | 1294 views | 0 comments

Destiny 2 classes are the foundation of your character and campaign. Bungie’s solar system is home to three core classes: Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters. There are subclasses within these main roles, meaning there are both broad and fine strokes in regards to how you build your character. Want to know what those are? We’ve got the full lowdown on every subclass, plus details on the new Destiny 2 Forsaken supers and subclass paths.
Each subclass has three core abilities that will recharge over time: a grenade, a class ability, and a melee power (you'll always be able to make a melee attack, but it'll have an additional effect when your melee power is charged).

Each subclass also has a unique and devastating 'super' ability on a much longer cooldown, and a choice of two perk trees, which will further modify all these powers. Destiny 2 features three brand-new subclasses, which join three reworked ones returning from the original, and another three from The Taken King expansion. That's right - Stormcaller, Sunbreaker, and Nightstalker are all in Destiny 2. Destiny 2 classes

Bungie says Destiny 2 expansion Forsaken really does kill Cayde for good

Added: 03.07.2018 19:42 | 1064 views | 0 comments

Bungie has killed Cayde-6, Destiny's wise-cracking chief Hunter character. It's an emotional moment for fans of the game. Cayde, voiced by Nathan Fillion, has been with Destiny players since the first game came out in September 2014. Now, he's dead, as revealed by a new story trailer released for upcoming expansion Forsaken.
Why kill Cayde? That was my first question as I sat down to interview game director Christopher Barrett and project lead Scott Taylor at E3 this week. That and, is Cayde actually dead, as in good and proper dead?
It turns out Cayde really is dead, good and proper. That's what Barrett and Taylor told me, anyway, and they sounded serious. It's all a part of Bungie's drive to give Destiny 2 a darker tone after the series veered too far into jokey one-liner territory. And who's Destiny's jokey one-liner extraordinaire? Poor old Cayde.

Is Halo Infinite our first look at a cross-gen Xbox game?

Added: 29.06.2018 19:40 | 939 views | 0 comments

Microsoft kicked off its E3 2018 media briefing in epic style, revealing a work-in-progress technology demonstration of its next Master Chief series entry, Halo Infinite, accompanied by giving us a little more background on the ideas behind the game, the aim to recapture the style of the Bungie era for modern hardware, and an admission that almost three years on from the release of Halo 5, Infinite is still very early on in production. Naturally, as the current generation draws to a close, the question must be asked whether this is our first tentative look at a game destined for the next Xbox.
343 Industries' blog doesn't rule this out, but the current generation hardware is explicitly name-checked with mention of 'taking advantage of the full power of the Xbox One family', yet the freshly minted Slipspace Engine is clearly delivering an extreme visual feature set that would certainly sit more easily on whatever hardware Microsoft is cooking up next. A game targeting a cross-gen release, perhaps? The scale and scope of this Infinite teaser combined with 343's current-gen confirmation certainly suggests so, and what's clear is that in this two-minute teaser, the studio bombards us with rendering techniques that offer a vast increase in fidelity over anything seen from the series before.
Going in to E3 2018, we were hoping for - a reveal of epic theatre that would be remembered for years to come. Of course, the problem with that classic E3 2003 demo was that although running in real-time on OG Xbox hardware, Bungie's ideas were too ambitious to roll out into the final game. And for its part, the main concern with the Slipspace engine as revealed on Sunday is the question of whether 343 may be over-promising. Unlike the Bungie demo, there wasn't a real-time component here - this was an engine demo, meaning it could be run on any hardware 343 might have available, and it needn't be operating in real-time either. In short,'in-engine' can cook up extreme visuals impossible on consumer-level hardware for years or even decades to come. However, we suspect that 343 has a point to prove and for its part, the studio tells us that 'the engine demo is a clear indication of the direction we are heading with our next game and a great snapshot of where our tech is right now.'
