Mark Wahlberg is in an Overwatch movie, but it’s not an Overwatch movie

Added: 02.07.2018 10:59 | 1038 views | 0 comments

There’s an upcoming film where an elite, secretive task force called Overwatch is tasked with a mission, and the fate of the world is tied to its success. Yet, astoundingly, this one doesn’t feature Tracer and Soldier: 76 - in their place, you’ll find Mark Wahlberg and Ronda Rousey toting somewhat more current weaponry in these covert efforts.
No, Mile 22 doesn’t actually have anything to do with Blizzard’s hero shooter, but hearing trailers filled with lines like “we are Overwatch” still feels a little surreal. The trailers paint a picture of pretty solid action thriller - those martial arts sequences with Iko Uwais look especially hot - but it’s a little surprising nobody did a Google search before naming the organization at the center of it all “Overwatch.” Especially with plans for a full franchise on the way.
No need to head to a theater - the biggest will come to you.
But then, we live in a world where there’s a Mission Impossible sequel straight-up called Fallout, so I guess nobody in the movie or game industries cares about their counterparts at this point. And, in fairness, maybe we should give a few more nods to the XCOM reboot before putting Blizzard’s vision of Overwatch on a pedestal. mile 22 overwatch

When is the Elder Scrolls 6 release date? The Elder Scrolls 6 announcement happened at E3 2018, so here are all the latest details on the new Elder Scrolls.
While there is no Elder Scrolls 6 release date yet we finally have our first official look at the game courtesy of a short teaser trailer. The trailer opens with the classic Elder Scrolls musical motif and a panning shot of some mountains before the logo appears, confirming The Elder Scrolls 6 is real.
Since our fantasy dreams have been realised, now we need some news about the . Make it happen Bethesda.
The thing is, we have already been twiddling our thumbs like good little Dovahkiins since we ventured into the world of Skyrim for hundreds of hours in 2011. We might have been spoilt by excellent games in the series already, but, frankly, we deserve something fresh. We know that TES 6 is coming and, given Skyrim's success, that isn't a surprise. Here's everything we know about The Elder Scrolls 6. elder scrolls 6 release date The Elder Scrolls 6 trailer
Before we crack on with all the juicy news and rumours, here’s the Elder Scrolls 6 trailer:

Judging by the terrain, it looks like TES 6 is taking us to either Hammerfell, home of the Redguard people, or High Rock, which is where the Breton race hail from.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice release date - all the latest details on FromSoftware's samurai game

Added: 02.07.2018 7:07 | 997 views | 0 comments

Any new game idea to come out of developer FromSoftware is worth dissecting, especially after the unqualified masterpiece that was Bloodborne. And Sekiro isn’t just any idea: it’s the legend of the ninja reworked for a Dark Souls audience.
After watching director Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team filter the castles and steel-plated killers of Western history through their twisted imaginations for years, it’s a terribly exciting prospect to see them do the same with Japanese culture.
Specifically, Sekiro takes us to a fantastical version of late 1500s Sengoku Japan, at a point where tensions are rising and bloody conflict is guaranteed. Sekiro is our protagonist, the “one-armed wolf” - a hard-hearted warrior out to rescue his young noble master and bring revenge to his arch nemesis.
With Sekiro due out next year, here are the other to look out for.
The studio has promised a friendlier and more approachable third-person action game than those in their recent past. But ironically, at least until information on the game becomes a little less scarce, this is the most opaque FromSoftware game around. Read on and we’ll help make things a little clearer. sekiro shadows die twice release date Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice release date
The Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice release date is early 2019. We don’t yet know when exactly, but it’ll be a globally synchronised release and it’s coming to Steam, which aren’t always givens with Japanese games. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice trailer

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is steeped in Japanese history, but with a supernatural twist

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has some big shoes to fill lore-wise as the next big FromSoft game. Studio president and game director Hidetaka Miyazaki has packed the Soulsbourne games with their own arcane myths and legends, and it looks like this time around he’s weaving that approach into a story that’s borrowing heavily from the history of Sengoku-era Japan.
The best place to go for breakdowns of Miyazaki’s lore is YouTuber Vaatividya, who has produced a video that pieces together the scraps of information about Sekiro that we’ve seen so far, along with some leaks, and assembles them into a pretty educated guess about what Sekiro is about.
Get hyped: here's the list of our .
While some of his information is admittedly based on leaks, key elements were confirmed by press at E3 who got to see a hands-off demo of Sekiro that showed more of the game than the trailer did. Vaatividya also sources the , which provides some additional backstory on a few of the main characters.
The video, which you can view below, explains the setup for Sekiro’s story: You play a shinobi charged with the defense of a young prince, the heir of an ancient clan that’s somehow been driven off or annihilated. The prince is kidnapped by ‘The Commander,’ the leader of the Ashina Clan, who believes the prince’s royal heritage is the key to protecting the area from the advance of a hostile invading force.

Fortnite’s rocket launches tomorrow

Added: 29.06.2018 11:20 | 818 views | 0 comments

Based on the teases so far, Fortnite’s next season to be heralded by the launch of rocket in the evil lair near Snobby Shores, and Epic wants to make sure you don’t miss the occasion. An in-game message has specified exactly when that rocket lifts off, and the event is coming very soon.
Specifically, it happens June 30 at 10:30 PDT / 13:30 EDT / 18:30 BST. Epic recommends you “get in-match on Saturday” by those times “and look to the sky. It only happens once!”
This week’s update seems to have paved the way for the rocket’s launch - and fall - with the remnants of a crashed rocket briefly appearing at Anarchy Acres, as captured in the video below. That appearance seems to have been a glitch, but it does indicate the rocket’s falling somewhere. Whether that somewhere is indeed Anarchy Acres remains to be seen.
The ten parachute onto an island...
The rocket is launching soon, but it’ll likely be a bit longer before we find out what exactly it does. The is scheduled for nearly two weeks from now, so the rocket probably won’t have an immediate catastrophic effect on the map, but it should make for a very pretty light show. fortnite rocket launch

Review: Skylanders Imaginators (Wii U)

Added: 03.01.2017 4:00 | 1092 views | 0 comments

Use your imagination.
With the demise of Disney Infinity you may think that toys to life games are on the way out. However, with the Skylanders Academy show on Netflix and another new game for fans, Activision are pressing ahead - for the time being, at least. is this year's game and it offers a substantial twist on what has gone before. Rather than provide a complete set of characters, the game gives young players the chance to design their own. It sounds like a gimmick but it doesn't take long to become engrossed with creating your own Skylanders characters.
The creation mode extends beyond a basic selection of head, body and arms to defining a catchphrase, voice and even aura for your Skylander. This gets you started before you head into the game proper and start collecting more parts to apply at will - you can pause the game at any point and jump back into editing your creations. It's an incredibly flexible system, so much so that it has spawned hugely popular videos on YouTube where over-enthusiastic vloggers recreate favourite heroes and characters using the various available parts. Some of them are impressively realistic and testament to how much power the Imaginators creator tool offers.
