Eurogamer Interviews John Hanke, the boss of Pokémon Go developer Niantic, in a wide-ranging chat touching on Niantic's events, the company's work to battle bots and how it affects users, the frequency of updates to the game, and - of course - the upcoming Squirtle community day.
Just like what we have predicted, Niantic has confirmed that Pokemon GO Community Day for July 2018 will feature Squirtle wearing the famous sunglasses and exclusive move Hydro Cannon for Blastoise.
The Squirtle Squad is coming to Pokemon Go in an upcoming Community Day event, where this specific and fashionable Squirtle will be available to catch while you’re out in the wild. If you’re cool enough to do so that is. Also awesome, is that players will be able to unlock one hell of a Blastoise for their collection, that happens to come equipped with a moveset that includes Hydro Cannon.

Does PvP come next?Niantic has recently released a friend system through Pokemon Go in which the trainers can add friends, send gifts and trade Pokemon with each other. This family of features was developed in order to "encourage Trainers to play & connect meaningfully in-game" as the Game Director of Niantic, Mr Tatsuo Nomura said.
